Exhibition Graphics. Graphic Design. Title Design.
DISRUPTERS : 50 Years of Chicago Women in Architecture This exhibit celebrates the legacy of Chicago women who have shaped architecture and design industries in Chicago since 1974.
For the exhibition title design, we felt it was appropriate to use typefaces from the same era; Avant Garde by Herb Lubalin, and Babyteeth by Milton Glaser. The color scheme references the CWA brand colors. By using bright fluorescent lucites we created a punchier version with edges that glow when the light hits them. Incorporating important buildings designed by Chicago women architects, we were able to create a skyline comprised of 65 buildings. The most impressive part of the exhibit is the 3 sided WOW (Wall of Women) showcasing over 1200 portraits.
